About Us
cloc.de is a design and development studio in the west of Munich. Attached to it is a workshop dedicated to manufacturing the cloc.
The company was founded in 2022 by Stefan Dassel. Together with a team of designers and engineers, we spent almost two years developing the cloc. It was officially launched in spring 2025.
Following its introduction, the cloc quickly became a success. Our breakthrough came when the cloc was featured in a pre-Christmas issue of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung Magazine. Further publications followed—along with many orders from people interested in design and art from across Europe.
We are currently working on the cloc office, featuring hands measuring nearly 60 cm in length—a spectacular wall piece, especially suited for company entrance areas and very large living spaces.

About
Stefan Dassel studied Philosophy at Free University of Berlin and Mechanical Engineering at Technical University of Munich.
For many years, he worked as Creative Director at an advertising agency, leading international projects in the fields of corporate communications, branding, and exhibition design.
At the end of 2022, Stefan Dassel stepped away from the world of advertising and founded cloc-design. He wanted to create a clock that would not only tell the time, but would itself change as a whole with the passage of time.
He worked on the project with his team for two years. The result is the cloc.
Stefan Dassel lives with his wife and cat in Stockdorf near Munich.

Precision
work
Some technical parts of the cloc are manufactured using 3D printing. The image shows a Prusa XL with a 5-hole extruder.

The Christmas season is peak season for cloc-design. Watches are shipped almost daily. The most popular color is orange.

After painting, the arrows are ready to be connected to the drive unit. We always have the standard colors in stock. For custom colors, please add two days to the delivery time.
